Mayor Megan Barry’s office has released details on Stanley Cup Final viewing parties as the Nashville Predators play for their first cup.
For Games 1 & 2 (road games), there will be a “Preds Party in the Park” held at the Music City Walk of Fame Park. A large screen will show the pre-game broadcast starting at 6:30 pm and will be followed by the game broadcast. There will be a DJ, food trucks, merchandise, drinks (both alcoholic & non-alcoholic), and hot dogs available. Predators mascot GNASH and the Predators Energy Team will also be on-hand.
Games 1 & 2 will be held on Monday, May 29th and Wednesday, May 31st. The festivities will shift to Lower Broadway for home games on June 3rd and the 5th. Live music and big screens will be available for the “Broadway Smash” parties. The stage will be set up on 5th and Broadway facing the Cumberland River. The site will open at 3pm, with a concert at 4pm followed by pre-game broadcast at 5:30 p.m..
If there is a Game 5 (June 8), the viewing party will be held inside Bridgestone Arena, with doors opening at 4pm. After that, plans are to have a viewing party again on Lower Broadway at 4th and 5th for Game 6 (June 11). Location and information for a Game 7 are still yet to be determined.
Per the release, there will be “house rules” in place for those who plan to attend. Attendees are invited to bring blankets and lawn chairs to Walk of Fame Park. At the Broadway Smash, lawn chairs and small bags (no bigger than 12×12) will be allowed. For public safety, new house rules will be strictly enforced. No coolers, backpacks or large bags will be permitted at any of the parties.
