Quiteka “Teka” Moten is the Executive Director of the Caregiver Relief Program of Middle Tennessee.  She is a native Memphian and graduate of the University of Tennessee- Knoxville.  Teka is a certified Dementia Practitioner, Coach, and Trainer.  She is a Master’s candidate in the Public Health program at Tennessee State University with a concentration in Behavioral Sciences. She is the 2017 recipient of TSU’s Public Health & Health Sciences’ Research Award voted on by faculty for her work on a unique respite program– providing free in-home visits & vitals checks by an RN to those living with dementia and their primary caregiver.

She is a member of the 2017 New Leaders Council cohort, a training program equipping progressive leaders; Urban League Young Professionals of Middle Tennessee; Public Health, Health Administration, and Health Sciences (PHHAHS) Student Association; and Farm in the City, an urban garden in downtown Nashville.
